MARINE TANKS
Shipping & Delivery Information
We ship custom tanks across the U.S. using UPS Ground and regional freight carriers. This page covers what you can expect during the shipping process, and what to do if there’s an issue.
📦 Shipping Methods
-
UPS Ground is used for most small-to-medium tanks
-
LTL Freight is used for larger tanks that exceed standard UPS size/weight limits
-
We do not ship internationally at this time
You’ll be notified once your tank has shipped and provided with tracking info via email.
⏳ Transit Times
-
UPS Ground: typically, 2–5 business days depending on location
-
Freight: 3–7 business days, but may vary based on carrier and region
Transit times are estimates only. Delays caused by weather, carrier issues, or remote delivery locations are outside of our control.
🖐 Signature Requirement
All shipments require a signature upon delivery unless you specifically waive it. If no one is available to sign, the carrier may hold the tank at a local facility or re-attempt delivery.
If you choose to waive the signature, you assume full responsibility for the shipment once it leaves our shop.
📸 What to Do When Your Tank Arrives
We do our best to package every tank securely, but shipping damage can still happen. Here’s what to do:
-
Inspect the packaging before signing
-
If damaged, take clear photos of the packaging and tank
-
Note damage on the delivery receipt if possible
-
Contact us within 48 hours with all evidence
Failure to notify us within 48 hours voids any claim or assistance.
🚛 Freight Delivery Notes
If your tank ships freight, it will arrive on a pallet. You are responsible for:
-
Having someone available to sign
-
Unloading the tank safely (liftgate or forklift access recommended)
-
Inspecting for damage immediately
Freight carriers will not bring the tank inside or assist with install.
🇺🇸 Alaska Shipping Policy
Shipping tanks to Alaska is often complex and problematic. Most customers in Alaska have their own preferred freight companies and delivery methods, which typically do not work well with our process.
For this reason, we will only ship Alaska orders to a freight forwarding company based in Seattle, WA.
The most common and preferred option is:
Span Alaska
3815 W Valley Hwy N
Auburn, WA 98001
If you live in Alaska, you must:
-
Provide the name and Seattle address of your freight forwarder
-
Understand that we are not responsible for the tank once it arrives at your selected freight company in Seattle
-
Handle all final shipping arrangements from Seattle to your location
We do not ship directly to Alaska. Our responsibility ends once the tank is signed for by your designated shipper in Washington.
📍 Local Pickup
Local pickup in Washington is not advertised or guaranteed. If it becomes available for your order, we’ll contact you directly to arrange it.
We do not publish our address or allow unscheduled visits.
📝 Final Note
We treat every tank with care and package it to survive the trip — but once it leaves our shop, it’s in the carrier’s hands.
If there’s ever a problem, document it and contact us quickly so we can help.
Thanks for working with us — and for understanding how this process works.
